The COVID-19 pandemic situation forced some changes to the project plan. The Workshop in Industrial Mathematics 2020 had to be postponed until next year, to guarantee the training activities for the fellows. However, the consortium encouraged the engagement of researchers through technology.

On September 28-29, 2020, the ROMSOC Internal Workshop hosted online presentations from each ESR on the progress of their research including participation from Ashwin Nayak and Umberto Morelli, hired researchers in ITMATI in the framework of the ROMSOC Project. Furthermore, the Internal Workshop 2020 featured talks by experts in which Principal Investigator and Affiliated researcher of ITMATI Andrés Prieto held the topic: “A coupled problem for the acoustic characterization of absorbing materials using dynamic mode decomposition”.
