ITMATI, created on February 7, 2013, thanks to the collaboration agreement between the University of A Coruña, the University of Santiago de Compostela and the University of Vigo, born with the vocation of being an international reference technological research center in the field of Industrial Mathematics.

ITMATI significantly increased its activity during 2015, focusing primarily on the achievement of the objectives of the Center: promoting the mathematical technology transfer from the knowledge developed in the Galician Universities, and to provide effective and agile answers to the business´, industries´ and public administrations´ demands.

The breakdown of the report indicates independently each of the activities that have taken place during the year, grouped as follows:

ITMATI has also paid special attention to organizing and co-organizing numerous events, workshops and conferences.

In order to seek synergies during 2014, ITMATI has also signed agreements with various entities such as the University of A Coruña (UDC), the University of Santiago de Compostela (USC) and the University of Vigo (UVigo), with the Master of Industrial Mathematics (M2i), with the Galician Metallurgical Cluster (ASIME) and Repsol CTR, while maintaining the agreements signed in 2013 with the three Galician Universities (UDC), USC, Uvigo), the CESGA Foundation, the Spanish Network for Mathematics (math-in) and Repsol S.A.

ITMATI also commited to promote the internationalization of the center. As an institutional partner of  math-in network, it  participates in the initiatives undertaken by the European Service Network of Mathematics for Industry and Innovation (EU-MATHS-IN), in addition, ITMATI has two  international transfer projects/contrats, it has organized activities, visits and participated in international workshops.

The president of ITMATI, Ms Isabel Rodríguez Moldes-Rey, in her letter thanked “ all those who contribute to making ITMATI the great transfer center it is” and invites them all to “keep collaborating and working to turn it into a technological and research center of international reference in the field of Industrial Mathematics”.
