The Association of Metallurgical Industries of Galicia (Asime), an organization representing some 720 companies from different subsectors of the metal of the four Galician provinces, has promoted the implementation of the Metallurgical Cluster Foundation of Galicia (Metal Cluster) to promote and channel investment in innovation and development of their businesses, with an eye on the Horizon 2020 and the smart specialization of RIS3 of Galicia. This foundation comes under the protection of the Ministry of Economy and Industry and will be launched this Friday at a conference in which several roundtables will be held on the automotive and transportation sectors, aerospace industry, marine energy, technology centers and safety and security of care.

The Metal Cluster, with headquarters in Vigo, is launched with the aim of promoting R & D in metal companies, prioritizing mainstreaming subsectors represented by Asime.
