ITMATI participated at the Technical Review meeting of PreCom project, which took place in La Riba, Tarragona

Mr. Jacobo de Uña Álvarez, Professor of Statistics and Operations Research (UVigo) and Affiliated Researcher of ITMATI, Mr.Abelardo Enrique Monsalve Cobís, Researcher at ITMATI and Mrs. Raluca Silvana Tomoni, Technology Transfer & Innovation Manager, participated in the Technical Review meeting of the PreCom project, which took place in La Riba, from May 13 to 16, 2019.

PreCoM is a 3-year project, funded by the Horizon 2020 Programme, which aims to deploy and test a predictive cognitive maintenance decision-support system to improve preventive maintenance and ultimately increase in-service efficiency of machines. It will be demonstrated in three different use cases with low volume, high volume and continuous manufacturing.

The main objective of the Technical Review meeting, organized in the premises of Goma Camps, one of the demonstration company on PreCom project, was to review the work done so far during the first half of the project.

The Monitor Expert, Sasa Jevtic, attended the Technical Review meeting on behalf of the European Commission.

As lider of the work package dedicated to Models & Big Data Analytics, ITMATI was in charge of presenting in detail the work performed jointly with the rest of the partners in WP3. The presentation was made by Jacobo de Uña (UVigo) and Maximilian Benker from Technical University of Munich (TUM), who explained the achievements and results obtain so far, with facts and practical examples.

During the Technical review meeting, a Factory tour was organized at Goma Camps premises for PreCoM system preliminary showcase.

The first impression of the team after the review completion was that of satisfaction and recognition of the excellent work done so far, of course with some recommendations from the monitor expert who provided advice for future improvement.
