ITMATI attended the Emtech Spain celebrated in Málaga's Conference Centre on 22 and 23 November

ITMATI participated in Emtech Spain held in the Malaga Conference Centre between 22 and 23 November. 
 
National and international experts participated in different technological areas of Emtech Spain 2012. The different presentations addressed the challenges of cities of the future: energy and services, discussed the role of social media as a driver for collaborative action and explained where innovation in medicine is directed to. Also other subjects where discussed such as the characteristics of the entrepreneurial ecosystem, the Internet, redesigning the game rules, and the TR35 Spain award winners were presented: a new generation of young innovators. The last of the panels analyzed the movements of capital after the first rounds of investment: where it is and why investment takes place.

Emtech, Emerging Technologies, is the most important conference in the world related to innovation technologies. It is organised by the Technology Review journal from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Each year the most innovative technologies are presented, most of them unknown to the general public, and which have loads of potential to improve and transform the society and the quality of life and businesses in the near future.

This conference was funded by the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology - Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness in the framework of the project "Mathematics as an innovative element for innovation in industry".
