GANESO: Simulation and Optimization of Gas Network

The main objective of this project is the development of the GANESO tool, a software that, through different mathematical techniques of simulation and optimization, allows the integral and optimal management of natural gas transport infrastructures. In particular, the software developed allows to obtain, in an interactive way, the optimal distribution of flows based on different criteria, the calculation of different rates and the simulation in transitory states. This software also provides mechanisms to study the optimal use of current infrastructures and, in situations where there is a certain level of uncertainty, evaluate investments in future infrastructures, offering the user a mechanism to decide on the management and expansion of a given network of gas transportation.
