The Academy of Sciences awards the Technology Transfer with a R+D+i contest.

The Royal Galician Academy of Sciences (RAGC) in collaboration with the Galician Agency for Innovation (GAIN) of the Xunta de Galicia, convene the first edition of the Technology Transfer Awards of Galicia. This award is endowed with 22.000€ and has 2 modalities: best work done by an applied research group and the best business success story in technology transfer.
 
The first modality of the awards is addressed to scientific groups who develop applied research and are affiliated of technological centers or research centers located in Galicia. Among the candidatures presented it will be selected which best represents the contribution of a research work to the socioeconomic development of Galicia, through the results transfer to the market. This modality is endowed with 6.000€ net and a grant of 4.000€ for the training of one member of the winning team, during a stay of two to three months in a research center outside Galicia.

The business modality looks for the best innovation successful story achieved by technology transfer. The best SME that prove the best innovation coming from the acquisition of a patent, a joint project with one or more research groups or other transfer mechanism, will be awarded. This modality is endowed with 12.000€ net.

The deadline for submission of applications is open until October, 29.
