From 22nd to 25th February 2016, Professor Eduardo Casas (University of Cantabria) will give the Course “Optimal Control of Partial Differential Equations”. The course will take place in the classrooms 7 and 9 of the Faculty of Mathematics of the University of Santiago de Compostela, from 9:00h to 11:00h and from 16:00h to 18:00 h.PROGRAM:
- Introduction
- Formulation of problems. Existence of solution.
- Optimality conditions of first order. Consequences.
- Optimality conditions of second order. Application to stability analysis.
- Numerical approximation. Convergence and error estimates.
