The "Principe de Asturias" award winner Amable Liñán visits Galicia: "In all energy there is a risk, we should not give up on nuclear energy”.

Weather forecasting, management of rivers or prediction of flooding, all are radical coastal event. These were some of the applications of the Galician mathematical equations which were discussed yesterday in a workshop about modelling at the Galician Cultural Council (Consello da Cultura Galega). With this workshop, coordinated by Elena Vázquez Cendón, the Science, Nature and Society section of the Council wanted to celebrate the Year of Mathematics of Planet Earth.

Amable Liñán: «With no fossil fuels there will be a catastrophe»

PhD in Aernautics and Professor of Fluid Mechanics  at the Technical University of Madrid, as well as "Principe de Asturias" award winner in 1993, Amable Liñán (León, 1934) participated in a workshop on modelling organised by the Galician Cultural Council (Consello da Cultura Galega), in which he talked about combustion and its effects on climate change.
