José Alberto Diaz de Castro,  Secretary of Universities of the Xunta de Galicia , mentions the Joint Research Unit Repsol-ITMATI as an example of academia-industry collaboration that has created 15 new jobs. Diez de Castro stressed the importance of the collaboration between academia and industry and the large number of solutions that can bring and that this "mutual cooperation, as occurs, strengthens and increases".
