Alberto Cabada (Sarria, 1966) is a Full Professor of Mathematical Analysis and currently serves as Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics at the University of Santiago de Compostela. He has established a distinguished and widely recognized career as a leading researcher in nonlinear analysis and boundary value problems for ordinary differential equations.

He earned his PhD in 1992 under the supervision of Professor Juan J. Nieto and has consistently produced high-impact research since then. His name is closely associated with Green’s functions for boundary value problems in ODEs—a field in which he and his collaborators have significantly advanced the development and refinement of analytical and computational techniques.

Cabada’s research interests extend beyond Green’s functions to include a broad range of topics such as the existence and multiplicity of solutions for nonlinear problems, employing methods such as monotone iterative techniques and topological approaches. His work also covers partial differential equations, difference equations, and other areas of applied mathematics.

In addition to his substantial publication record, Professor Cabada has actively participated in numerous international conferences and has fostered a wide network of international collaborations. He has supervised seven PhD dissertations and has led several research projects funded by various institutions.

Last but not least, we wish to acknowledge his outstanding academic career and valuable contributions in the field of nonlinear analysis. Professor Cabada is also highly regarded within the university community for his willingness to engage in dialogue and his cordial and respectful approach to all staff. We hope to enjoy his math and his beloved company for another 60 years!
