Ashwin Nayak Sadanand defended his PhD Thesis in the framework of the ROMSOC project.

ROMSOC is one of the European Industrial Doctorate (EID) programmes, which are one of the Innovative Training Networks (ITN), supported by the H2020 Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) programme. These programmes support scientific careers and foster researchers’ transnational, intersectoral and interdisciplinary mobility.

Ashwin, within the ROMSOC Project, developed his PhD thesis entitled ‘Mathematical modelling and numerical simulation of coupled thermoacoustic multilayer systems to enable particle velocity measurements in the presence of airflow’. Within his more than 36 months of work on the project, Ashwin get a secondment at the industrial participant Microflown Technologies in the Netherlands.

On 14 December 2021, in the Aula de Grados of the Faculty of Computer Science of Universidade da Coruña, Ashwin defended his thesis in front of a panel of experts. The successful defence is a milestone for the ROMSOC project and for ITMATI/CITMAga as host institution.
