esolution of 6 October 2014 amending the aid research institutions of Galicia for the creation, implementation and promotion of joint research units awarded.
This call is funded by the Galician Research Agency itself and the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness under the Spanish Innovation Strategy in Galicia.
JOB DESCRIPTION: 1 contract as a researcher for the Joint Research Unit (UMI) REPSOL-ITMATI.
The research lines of the Joint Unit (UMI) are related to the development of mathematical and computational techniques to solve numerical simulation and optimization of large size and complexity problems that arise in the Energy Sector. Staff who joins in this call made research work in some of the research areas to be developed in the JRU: modeling, optimization, numerical simulation (EDP's models), and computer programming.
SCIENTIFIC DIRECTOR: Profesor Dr. D. Alfredo Bermúdez de Castro López-Varela,Professor of Applied Mathematics of the University of Santiago de Compostela and affiliated researcher of ITMATI.
CANDIDATE PROFILES: Ph´d related to Mathematics, Physics, Engineering and Computing
GENERAL EDUCATION AND MERITS TO BE ASSESED

Academic record or bachelor's degree, engineering, master's and Phd.

Experience in field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs).

Reconfigurable computing experience.

English skills.
GENERAL EDUCATION AND MERITS TO BE ASSESSED
When assessing the nominations will be considered, in addition to assessing the merits in terms of training, additional experience in the following fields:

The degree of affinity of the qualifications of the candidate with the areas of Industrial Mathematics (Applied Mathematics, Statistics and Operations Research or the like) will be assessed.
Candidates selected according to the above criteria will be invited to a personal interview.
