Mathematics as an innovative element for industry, the first stage of the Workshop on Industrial Problems concludes

The first stage of the Workshop on Industrial Problems (WIP) finishes with the presentation of industrial problems by participant companies.

Representatives of various companies, research staff and students have attended from 11 September to 30 October the first stage of the Workshop on Industrial Problems (WIP) in which the participating companies have presented industrial problems which are likely to be solved by applying mathematical technology. The WIP is run by the Applied Mathematics groups of the three Galician universities in collaboration with the Technological Institute for Industrial Mathematics (ITMATI) and with the support of the Spanish Mathematics Network (math-in). The event is funded by the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology - Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness.
