Mathematical research solves industrial problems about clean energy

Mathematicians of the Galician universities continue to strengthen their commitment to transfer knowledge to industry. Scientists from three universities held in Santiago a few weeks ago the fifth edition of the conference on Mathematics for companies and institutions, which arose proposals such as the optimization of the design of a floating platform for generating energy from ocean currents and a solar thermal collector slate. The event was run in collaboration with the Technological Institute for Industrial Mathematics and the Spanish Mathematics Network (math-in).
