ITMATI participates in an International Cooperation project with Norwegian Institute for Industrial Research, Teknova. Due to this participation on Friday June 14 Svenn Anton Halvorsen, Senior Researcher of Applied Mathematics at Teknova AS, visited ITMATI in order to develop activities within the framework of a collaborative project between the two institutions in the metallurgical field.
In the morning session Svenn Anton Halvorsen presented the project in question and its collaboration with ITMATI in two "Study Groups" to be held throughout 2013 and 2014. In addition ITMATI presented success cases in the metal sector conducted by Galician research groups of Applied Mathematics, Statistics and Operations Research ITMATI promoters.
This event is funded by the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology - Ministry of Economy and Competitiviness, in the framework of the project "Mathematics as an innovative element for innovation in industry".
