Galicia joins Madrid to educate experts in industrial mathematics

"Galicia is a Spanish leader in industrial mathematics". These words mentioned by Antonio Campillo, the President of the Spanish Royal thematical Society, during his recent visit to Galicia confirms also the work launched by the Spanish Network of Mathematics and Industry. With this in mind, the three Galician universities launched in 2006 a MSci in Mathematical Engineering where, despite of the crisis, new researchers are educated in this field. The project will start a new phase with the incorporation of the Technical University of Madrid and the Carlos III University of Madrid in the so-called MSc in Industrial Mathematics (Máster en Matemática Industrial (M2i)).
