Título: Multiple timescales in numerical analysis
Resumen: In many realistic applications, from neuroscience to structural mechanics, the underlying dynamical models exhibit multiple intrinsic timescales. In this talk, we will present an overview of dynamical systems with multiple timescales, focusing on their fundamental properties and applications. In the second part of this talk, we discuss different numerical strategies designed to treat the separation of timescales properly. Lastly, we give some insights for the reduced order modeling of these systems.
